Post subject: FAP CUSTOMIZATION - OTF Question
HI

Because of the interaction of FAP and Phpbb i chose FAP instead of coppermine. I know coppermine has much more function but when i saw that FAP has the OTF function i thought that it would work for me and my page. But now i have a problem. OTF does only copy the pictures in one particular folder. But i have over 11.000 pictures...

So my question is, is there a possibility that OTF copys the hole folder instead just of the images in it?

OTF copies all the images in a selected folder inside of album_mod/upload/otf
and uploads to the category you select ... it renames them based on the containing folder's name.

You can FTP more than one folder of pics to album_mod/upload/otf

You may also consider Nuffload which will allow upload your photos in a zip file ..... how many photos ? dunno

i didn't get this part to work, everything else worked fine, but he does not rename the file physically on my server, they named just the same as they where uploadet:

fap_otf

( I do not get an error message!)

I'm sorry, I meant to say that it titles the pic according to the folder.

oh okay, w3ell thats pretty much a problem if you have big gallerys like i do, cause the pic names are not always different. Is there any possibility that he copys the folder and not just the pictures? (or any suggestion how to solve this problem?)

Perhaps you could first use a program such as a mass image renamer.

two things: my pictures are currently in different folders (about 150 folders), and that would be a horror to go trough all folders and rename the pics, even if i use a programm like irfanview.
And the other thing is, it's mostly not me who uploads the pictures.

Sadly, it seams it's not going to fit my needs (overall the requirements of big gallerys). I guess i have to use coppermine then.

Try using this file...

Pictures with same names are not replaced, but renamed with a date and a random number, so none of your pics will be replaced.

Let me know if it is working fine.
