Post subject: FAP SUPPORT - I Cannot Use Chmod - Using Fap On Windows Server

Hi,
I have installed full_album_pack_1_4_0a on an aruba windows server.
I read that it should run on a linux server because of chmod capability.
I tried with otf function and then loading into a gallery but even it need chmod.
I tried to convert my server from windows to linux but I have to wait till may (aruba...)

I need the album and I don't want to wait till may.
I would like to upload images and thumbnail via ftp and then telling fap
to load images information into the db, is there any possibility?

Did you ask your host for help in setting the permissions on these files/folders ?

the /public/ folder has the 777 permissions
move the forum there

You can convert your Aruba hosting server from Windows to Linux when you want, just paying...

Otherwise use public folder like z3d0 said

Aruba told me that my domain is going to expire and so I have to wait till may...

I tried to move all my forum under /public folder but it is the same
neither I see permission in ftp screen neither I can upload images.

So, I think that I could upload images and thumbnails via ftp
then I will need just a sql-script to fill the db correctly, isn't it?

you have to change the NTFS settings for the folder.

Thanks to all,
finally I solved in this way:
I have made thumbnails and ftp uploaded images in folders:
photos in /album_mod/upload
thumbnails in /album_mod/upload/cache
then I used AlbumSQLGenerator in full_album_pack_1_4_0_contrib
which allows you to generate sql statement to populate mySql.

If your site is in Aruba Windows server you cannot change the permissions... all that you can do is changing your constants.php and make FAP pointing to the public folder which has 777 permissions.
