Post subject: FAP SUPPORT - Upload Issue(s)
All files uploaded correctly. Checked and rechecked.
All CHMOD completed. Checked and rechecked.
Enable Nuffload? NO
When I upload the correctly sized images I am not given an error message. I just get a blank page and the images are not visible in the album.
However, the images are visible in my FileZilla so I know they got uploaded.
They end up in the mysite/album_mod/upload/ directory.
1. What does the blank page indicate?
2. Why are they uploaded, but not visible?
3. Will I go crazy wondering or just be patient for an answer?

I had a similar issue - couldn't see images that uploaded correctly when included in a forum post.
The problem was my internet security suite - Zone Alarm. I allowed all cookies (shouldn't be the problem), and all banner and pop-up ads from my forum's domain. The pictures instantly appeared.
You might give that a try. I tell all my forum members to allow banners and pop-ups from the forum domain.

Edit: I misunderstood.
My problem is when trying to upload pictures into the albums whether the public album or personal ablums.

Hi,
I am not sure at all but first of all, I would recommend to upgrade to v1.4.1.

Post subject: Re: Upload Issue(s)
There were problems with the .htaccess files in FAP 1.4.0.... if you don' t follow lefty74's advice and upgrade,
you could try removing these files from the upload folder (and it's subfolders)

Thanks, guys. I'll try the update scheme first and hope that works out as I'm running CH 2.1.6 on phpBB 2.0.22. I trust there won't be many conflicts and I hope it is something simple.
I checked again and every image I've uploaded has made it into the correct folder - as visible by FileZilla anyway.
I'll give that a go.

Post subject: Re: Upload Issue(s)
Upgraded. Now these errors:
First, I was getting this:
Quote:
Warning: main(./ALBUM_MOD_PATHalbum_common.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/salon-ma/public_html/phpBB/album.php on line 61
Warning: main(./ALBUM_MOD_PATHalbum_common.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/salon-ma/public_html/phpBB/album.php on line 61
Warning: main(): Failed opening './ALBUM_MOD_PATHalbum_common.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/salon-ma/public_html/phpBB/album.php on line 61
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: album_read_tree() in /home/salon-ma/public_html/phpBB/album.php on line 135
I found a thread about this and decided to run fap_install.php even though I had already done the upgraded SQL queries. I got a lot of errors, of course, because most of the tables exist already, but it did accept some of the new queries.
When I reloaded the site I got this:
Quote:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare imagerating() (previously declared in /home/album_mod/album_functions.php:718) in /home/album_mod/clown_album_functions.php on line 27
What's going on here?
(Note: because I'm still not live with this site, I could very well delete all of my previous FAP and just reinstall fresh, but I thought I'd start with this approach.)
Thx

I do not have clown_album_functions in my album_mod folder.
Did you do that when upgrading to FAP 1.4.0?
Remove these files
admin/admin_album_config_clown.php
album_mod/album_nuffimage.php
album_mod/album_watermark.php
album_mod/clown_album_functions.php
templates/subSilver/admin/album_config_clown_general_body.tpl
templates/subSilver/admin/album_config_clown_hotnot_body.tpl
templates/subSilver/admin/album_config_clown_watermark_body.tpl
Might be easier to reinstall to be honest as there may well be other things that might have been missed ...

I am having a similar issue.
I've installed FAP 1.4.1 on phpBB 2.0.22. All file permissions are correct. When attempting to upload an image, I get a blank screen. Does that offer any clues as to why my uploads are not being processed properly? Thanks.

When MG said "check permissions and paths of your folders" he was refering to:
#

CHMOD these directories for Full Album Pack to work correctly.
.
CHMOD 777 album_mod/upload
CHMOD 777 album_mod/upload/cache
CHMOD 777 album_mod/upload/med_cache
CHMOD 777 album_mod/upload/otf

Change "Path to cgi-in" in Admin CP to a relative path from phpBB root to your cgi-bin
Create folder: cgi-bin/tmp/
copy cgi-bin/nuffload.cgi to cgi-bin/nuffload.cgi

Also check your GD Info in the ACP .... Do you have GD support? Is the image type supported ?

Yes, I am missing GD Support, as well - or so says my Config.
What is GD Support? If I try to put it on my dedicated server, what is it?

Probably easy to fix, but I don't know how.

if i am not mistaken, GD support is required to build the thumbnails pictures etc so before anything else, ensure GD support is installed and enabled on your server.

Can you explain what "GD Support" is? I need to see if I can get that on my server, but I have no idea what it is, where to get it or anything of the sort. I have a dedicated server, so I can put what I want on there, but I need to track this down first.
Thx

What is the GD library?
GD is an open source code library for the dynamic creation of images by programmers. GD creates PNG, JPEG and GIF images, among other formats. GD is commonly used to generate charts, graphics, thumbnails, and most anything else, on the fly. While not restricted to use on the web, the most common applications of GD involve web site development.
GD is written in C and various binding are available. See a non exaustive list here .
The library was originally developped by Thomas Boutell and is now maintained by Pierre-A. Joye under the umbrella of PHP.net.

I'm just guessing here, but I suspect you are having the issue as me when it comes to using the Manual Thumbnail option.
There should be a file input for uploading a thumbnail, immediately below the file input for the pic.... for me there is not one for the thumbnail, but I do not know why it doesn't appear.

Regarding GD, I cannot see where he states his GD config... he said that he has the same config as nfried, but he didn't post it... so I thought he couldn't find it.
Anyway, I put GD libraries in older FAP contrib pack...
But here you are again:
- Windows - PHP & GD2
- Prerequisites
- Read the main windows chapter before reading and sub-chapters.
- Must have functioning web server installed
- PHP >= 4.3 for the GD2 extension available here
- About this Document
- This document will point you where to get PHP and also provide help on enabling GD2 for the graph generation in Psychostats. By default GD2 comes with the zip distribution of PHP >= 4.3 but it is disabled. If you have an older version of PHP and are unable to upgrade please see the PHP Documentation for information about getting GD2 to work.
-
- Installing PHP
- First thing you need to do is download the PHP installer which can be found on the PHP Downloads page.
-
- IIS - Download the MSI package and run it. Follow the on screen prompts and PHP should install itself into IIS. (More Detailed Instructions Comping Soon)
-
- Apache - Download the zip distribution because it has to be installed manually. You can install with the MSI first to get all the files in place but you will need extra files from the zip download to install the API version of PHP which is recommended. See the install.txt for installation instructions for apache. (More Detailed Instructions Comping Soon)
-
- Enabling GD2
- If you used only the MSI installer you will not have the GD2 extension installed on your system. We have just the GD2 extension for download here, this is the same file that is available with the full PHP 4.3.4 zip distribution. Extract the php_gd2.dll into C:PHPextensions (this may be a different folder if you did not accept the default installation directory). If that folder does not exist inside your PHP folder then create it.
-
- Open C:windowsphp.ini or C:winntphp.ini (depending on your system setup) in your favorite text editor (notepad works). Use the find function to search for extension_dir, in notepad use the Edit menu and select Find. For the default PHP installtion this needs to be set to:
-
- extension_dir = "C:PHPextensions"
- If you installed PHP to a different folder adjust this accordingly. Now search for gd2, you should see a line like this:
-
- ;extension=php_gd2.dll
- Simply remove the ";" in front of the line to un comment it so it looks like this
-
- extension=php_gd2.dll
- Then restart your web server application and GD2 should be working.
-
- To test to see if GD is working just browse to the testgd.php file in your statsroot. ( http://yoursite.com/stats/testgd.php )

Maybe it's a TPL issue.

There is a slight difference in the 2 templates reguarding the switch_nuffload_disabled.
In the FAP tpl there is one instance when it is used, but not used in IP.....removing this seems to fix it.
IN FAP OPEN

{
AddFileField();
}
<!-- END pre_generate -->
