Post subject: FAP SUPPORT - Slideshow Doens't Work
Just noticed one problem: the slideshow doesn't seem to work anymore (with vista). Neither on my site (www.aktuell.net, FAP 1.4.0) nor here on icyphoenix.
Anyone too got this problem??

Do you mean MS Vista, or more specifically Internet Exploder 7 ? (

)

There doesn't seem to be much difference as Vista uses the latest version of IE7!??

I only asked to be certain of which browser as I assume browsers other than IE 7 can be used with Vista.
I have not IE 7 on this computer, but can check/verify on another pc this weekend.
I do remember from the past that someone had an issue with FAP and IE 7.... don't remember exactly the problem....was it you ?

I just asked two friends of mine with Vista and the slideshow doesn't work on their PCs, too. So I think Visat (or the IE7) doesn't "like" the Slideshow-script. Is there a solution for this??

Helmut71, I have no clue why this problem exist.
I did check this site with IE7 and had the same problem, but was not able to test MightyGorgon.com
Both sites appear to be using the same FAP version
MG, we await your expertise

@ Artie yeah this is strange. Both sites seem to have version 1.4.2 but on mightygorgon.com the slideshow works for me - but not on this site.

Warned for three consecutive bump...
You need to be patient please.
Slideshow is working for me both here and on mg.com using both FireFox and IE 7.
I hope to release a new beta version in few days so you can try to upgrade your site and check if it works.

I've just noticed that with IE7 Slideshow may be related to the template you are using... try to launch it on this site using different templates.

@MG: you're absoultely right - with some templates it works, with some templates just nothing happens, with some other, a js error appears ^^
thanks..
perhaps you could sort this out in the next version?

I'm still thinking if publishing another version or definitely close this project and work only on a new gallery for phpBB 3.
I guess the problem is related on some global JavaScript which alter the ONLOAD JS execution... blocking some others scripts. And this is not necessarily a bug of FAP.
In any case I'll try to guess why this happen and if there is a way to avoid this.
