hi,

my server admin told me that my site is using too much server resources.
now i know that 'too much' is relative to the server i'm on (and it's a standard shared host).

admin sent me a log of what was going wrong:

i'm not sure i understand it all but i guess it means these files use up too much resources.

at the time of this report there were no more than 100 simultaneous users on my forum.

it looks like generating and displaying thimbnails is what is causing the problem, if i remove the pic block form my index and from the users' profiles and maybe display full images in posts, would it help?

i have my forum with the album setup just the way i like it, i really wouldn't want to have to get rid of it!

That is because your server is having problems with getimagesize function. Many server have problem with this function... some of them are configured badly.

This site is on a shared account with more of 300 sites on the same server... and no problems with thumbs.

The only thing you can do (other than changing hosting...) is disable thumbs totally.
