Post subject: FAP SUPPORT - GIF: Not Every GIF File Is Moving!
My question is quite simple: I would like every GIF I upload to move!
But some (it's about the half of the pictures) are simple not moving... only when you click on them!
Does anybody know why? Or what settings I have to change?

Example: http://www.fluks.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&p=673#p673

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately when GIFs are resized via GD Libraries the animation is lost. You can still see the animation for those pictures which are smallest than the thumbnail size (set in ACP) because they don't get resized.

There is nothing to do... only way is increase the thumbnail size, or try to change settings in ACP regarding GIFs... try to have a look around.

Show GIF thumbnails without using GD libraries (full images are loaded and then just shown resized).

Thank you for your reaction.
If you change the width and height of the GIF settings, they will display normally... I was hoping it could reduce the size and still be able to play the animation. Too bad! :D

I will keep it this way. Thanks again!

Unfortunately it is not easy... but if you have a bit of confidence with PHP you can try to edit the code: you need to add a condition to not reduce the image if it is a GIF one.
