I have this mod installed on my site you can see it HERE

What does this Mod do

1. profiles can be designed by your members.. using the custom tool
2. or you can make your own designs and allow you members to choose
3. members can place information on their profile in the order of what they like
4. post a bulliten on your profile
5. make friends with other members and display their photos on your profile
6. top friends list
7. send comments to your friend the comments appear on their profile and vice versa
8. members can add information to their profiles using Icy bbcode (display youtube videos flash items etc
9. block members from seeing your profile or making comments to you
10. adding friends through this mod is not the same as the friends built into Icy
11. members can report profiles that may be not in line with the rules of your site
12. admins can view profiles and review if they are ok send a message to the member asking them to remove anything if necessary
13. set up search features so members can find other members with the same interests or details
14. full admin side configuration
15. works with fap and Icy bday system
16. many more features.. and add ons that can be made available

RC1 Version

After a week of updating a million or so files (well it felt like that) here is the first beta version of mps mod for Icy Phoenix...

This is for RC1....

This can be used live with the new rc1 version... this is a large mod I have tested for bugs and have had so far no reports back on errors.. if you do have a problem please post here

Anyway....


you need to run the install file before making any changes to your site or you will not be able to get on your site..

I would appreciate if anyone could translate the lang files for other members on the site... and to test for any errors anywhere within the mod...

If anything needs changing please post about it so we can make this a great add on...

All html has been removed from posting in text boxes from this mod for obvious reasons but Icy bbcode will work in any text boxes though you will have to type the code instead of using the standard buttons in some fields...

please test using frozen icy as I have not made any buttons for any other themes

this will be a step by step process and I will release versions as they become available remember this is

WORK IN PROGRESS BUT AS IT IS RC1 THERe SHOULD BE NO PROBLEMS

After you have made all the changes and uploaded your files you muct goto ACP find MPS on the left hand side.. find config check the settings and hit submit... you must hit submit even if you do not change anything
this makes the mps active...

I am still thinking about adding this mod to my website... I really like the mod itself, but users can terribly mess up the layout (also on myspace) and the fields on the normal IP profile or not used... On the other hand, it is one of the most impressive mods out there imo, I like the videos, friends adding and friends comments: It looks superb!
So, I guess I'm downloading and adding it tomorrow

If I get some errors or trouble with adding, I will give you a signal!
And for the translations, I am willing to translate it in dutch (give me one week or so...)

Regards to the layout... I have set mine to master layout only and then redisigned the tpl files so that they are clear on the eye....

you can also add any extras to the code if you look at the link I post to my profile in the first ost you can make the general layout quite eye pleasing

Remarks/ feedback:
1. in templates you wrote: icy_pheonix instead of icy_phoenix :p
2. The profiles do not use the styles. Maybe we can improve this?
3. improvement forum statistics (like the blocks on Icy Phoenix profiles)
4. The buttons of MPS profiles should use the Icy phoenix buttons, looks better lol.

A few questions:
1. How can I change the standard layout easily?
2. How did you do that cool tabs in your profiles? (dynamic drive script?)
3. Could we make a switch, the people who want to view other profiles can choose between their IP profiles and MPS profiles?
4. Can I add the following information to the IP MPS profiles? (I just need the user member number as a code, I can create the links on my own! )

what do you mean styles in profiles...? you can make any style for the profile use woody as an example from mps_headers and change the css to suit what you would like

I did not have original editable buttons for frozen phoenix... anyother themes that you use sadly you will have to make the buttons..

you can reposition the layout blocks using the acp to do anything more you will have to edit the html

my profiles on my site are bespoke if I give away the secret my site will be redundant lol

it was a very old phpbb mod using javascript...

members can chose to use mps profile or icy profile but I would have to recode a lot to enable a switch for that and to be honest I do not have a great deal of time...

what do you mean by members number...? you will have to use php code for the user_id.. if you look at incudes/viewprofile.php and includes/mps/viewprofile.php all the code is in there compare the 2 and add the necessary code to the second file and then the tpl file...

I will try and help where I can but my time is very limited with work etc

I am adding this mod to My WebSite ......but users can not register after added ....the massege of error

How weird, the error dissapeared! Do you know all these codes?!

Just been debugging it for 2 years now

I changed the code above as it had an error in it... if you have added it to your site you need to redo it...

if you have not added it sadly the error will return so please add the code above..

4. Icy phoenix is NOT a part of phpBB3 and if no-one converts them from Icy Phoenix to phpBB3, none of Icy Phoenix mods or templates will work with phpBB3.
