Post subject: [request] Show Topic Title Of Last Made Post On Index.php

Hello,

I was looking for a mod which shows the Topic title of the last made post of a forum on index.php which I can use at a PHPBB3 forum and will also work on the Blue Pearl skin of Icy Phoenix. Nicest would be one exactly like the one being used at this forum. (So not an overview of the last made posts on the top of index.php or something.)

Try looking for this mod @ phpBB.com.

If there is such a mod and you have subSilver 2 template, then you can easily adapt it to Black Pearl.

@ phpBB.com they only got mods which show the title of the very last post made (So after this post I would see "Re: [request] Show Topic Title Of Last Made Post On Index.php" on the index.php page. (Or nothing at all if I left the Subject blank.)

Now I got your point... anyway I guess it wouldn't be difficult to modify that mod to achieve what you need.

Are you a bit confident with PHP?

Not confident with PHP at all, only just starting to learn it but not getting it yet :p

Then you have a good reason to start seriously.

Try to understand the logic of that mod, and then start to modify the code... then it would be easy for you to ask for help because you can post bits of code and we may quickly try to help you in your goal.

If you await for me (or anyone else) to check the mod you need and modify it, that would be tougher and you won't learn anything.

The annoying thing about the mod is that it only edits a few exisiting codes. I am quite sure to get what I want, I would have to add new codes and possibly with that make some MySQL changes...

Also, I've been trying to edit the code with certain text of which I tought it could fix what I wanted, but none of the things I tried worked.
