there's more ways change the editor

the simple way would be to use bbcode replacements in acp (posting tab)

the deluxe way would be to find a mod at phpbb.com 's database that will give you this prebuild editor and modify all files where you need it

i guess the deluxe way also answers your second question? (but it would not really be a quick/simple reply anymore) ..if not let me know


Edit: a little hint ..looking at your third screeny i notice you are missing at least one language replacement entree, {QUICKREPLY}

Also I don't know how to replace BB codes. I saw the examples but nothing I can take to start work.

no problem i ll try to explain what i mean alittle better

your screenshot number 2 is what i call deluxe (because it s a complete set and decorated with nice pictures as buttons), i am sure if you search the phpbb.com modification database for something like "editor" one or more will pop up in the search result.

now if you re not confident yet controling the admin panel i have doubts if it is wise for you to start trying to add modifications to files directly, so untill you are ready for that i would try to get the simple way working.
this means you create each function you want added ..in acp for each button

my advice is to start familliarising yourself with phpbb by reading the manuals and tutorials at phpbb.com

since i can imagine you want some quick results here's a quick link to what you say you can t get working (it s an easy flash tutorial on bbcodes, coïncidentally about one of the align buttons you asked for)

keep in mind that reading the acp itself could also help alot (often there are small examples and explanations right there)
