I just updated my forum from 3.0.2 to 3.0.4 and I am wondering if there is a way to update the style to 3.0.3 and then 3.0.4

actually I am looking for the codes changes
I will not overwrite the files because I already installed many mods on it

Use WinMerge comparing what's changed from your version.

There is a small list of changed files @ phpbb.com in the release topic.

When I place the styles in the style folder they don't show up in my ACP. I've installed themes before with PHPBB and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

That is strange... try to check that you don't have extra un-needed subfolders.

Umm..I'm a newbie in making forums. And I have chosen to use the "Milky Way" style on phpBB3
because I love its look & feel. Anyway, although I want its look and feel, I also want to tweak it a lil' bit.
I want to expand (widen) the forum page, I want to replace the logo and header image, I also want to
add the API that I have created...but I don't know how Can anyone help me with this..please?
How do I tweak this style? 'coz I've been changing this & that on the CSS files, and yet nothing happens.

Like the text circled in the picture change a different color when a new topic is posted in that subforum.

If i have this installed on phpbb 3 3.0.5..

I want to upgrade to 3.0.7... without loosing the mods... how do i do that??

I need just the updates for the theme so that it could work on 3.0.7...

If i upload the whole skin again.. i think i will have to do all edits of templates files right? So that the mods i installed now will work after the update

For example... If i have a mod installed on my forum now... its version is 3.0 but after few days 3.1 is released.. and i dont need to reinstall whole thing to update it.. just few edits on the files i already edited right?

Thanks for all the great work on this phpbb style. We've had it deployed on a bulletin board for over a year now and have been very happy with the results.

I did have one small question that I think may be related to the style...

When the user clicks on a middle link in the breadcrumbs trail, the forum asks them enter their password (the photo below says it asks for a log in, but that is incorrect. It asks for a password). I've attached a photo to show what I mean.


Any chance this would be caused by the style? If so, any ideas on how to fix it?

We're running 3.0.9 and the latest version of Milky Way. The problem has always been there.

I don't think this is a style issue but you should be able to quickly test it by a default style (in this case I would look at subsilver).

If it's only like you describe in milkyway (not also in the default style) then please open a topic about it in this forum

EDIT: I think you just may have done something funny in the ACP

Aha. You are correct. It happens on subsilver as well. Thank you! That eliminates one possibility.
