Post subject: Problem with blocks
Hello...

i have an really strange problem.

I use the same settings in the CMS like here on ip.com.. but in the forum portal it shows me the nav links block twice...

nav1

I tried to cleared the cache and also test some other settings but i cant get it working...

Also it shows me the "hide" link on the nav in portal and here on ip.com not...

// EDIT
btw the global blocks are disabled... i tried also with enabled global blocks but no change.

Any suggestion to fix this?

thanks

cheers

You have this problem because in Ip 10.10 you set "Yes" to permission of Global Block of Home Page. Actualli in IP 11.11 you can't set this permission from CMS management:

cms

but you can edit from DB

---> phpBB_config ---> wide_blocks_portal ---> 0 (now you have set to 1)

after this edit, clear the cache!

Sometimes I wonder... why you don't trust me?

As I said in the Bugs Tracking topic, I've removed the Global Blocks for Home Page and Custom Pages from Permission, but I added the switch in the Page Management
cms

So, if your home page has ID=1 you can access the Page Management for that page by clicking this link:

http://www.yoursite.com/cms.php?mode=layouts&l_id=1&action=edit

Then you have the possibility to enable/disable Global Blocks for each page created using the CMS.

cms_page_edit

Can you please try and confirm? You don't need to replace index.php.

I think it would be more intuitive to place the switch in the permissions page of the CMS.
I also found it hardly in the actual position.

Bye... ;)

but actually is more customizable, you can create personal page with global blocks and other without it! :mricy: :mricy: :mricy:

Yes, now each page has its own switch for global blocks.

I've removed the one in Page Permissions because it was redundant.
