Post subject: Import Users & Post From Old PHP 2 To IP [Not Solved]

Hi, i want a do a thing.

I want to copy the users and post from my old foroum version (Phpbb 2.0.22) using the database, but the problem is that i don't konw how to do the SQL.

I tried do using this SQL changin phpbb to ip but don't work:

INSERT INTO `ip_users` VALUES (-1, 0, 'Webmaster', '', 0, 0, 0, 000000000, 0, 0, 2.01, and more...)

I don't wanna update all database, using the update_to.php of Icy Phoenix to the new versión.

I want only copy the old users and post.

Please help me.

You can make a full or partial DB backup using phpMyAdmin of your hosting service, so you will be able to restore what you need (posts/user table)

Buldo am using phpmyadmin, but my question is how i do the sql?, i don't konw the structure, for example: Insert into ip_users (the code that i have in my old backup), and some more.

I don't know how can i do that.

The "SQL code" is in your backup!!
You have simply to copy&paste in phpMyAdmin all the lines referred to the table(s) you want to import.
To understand what I mean just try to open your "dbbackup.sql" and take a look...

Buldo sorry, but you don't have read very well my problem.

I have tried to do that, copy the sql in my backup file, and paste in phpmyadmin, but don't work. This is the sql in the backup file about one user:

I change the 'php_users' for ip_users, but don't work.

That is my problem and the same for the post.

Only is konw how do the correct sql.

It works if you have created the table(s) before execute the SQL, didn't you?
Copy the line "CREATE TABLE...." also, so you have: "CREATE TABLE...... INSERT INTO....".

Nothing...

The users i import manually, creating a new user and copying the values from the database. I can't use the Inster Into, cause the values are diferents in Phpbb 2.0.22 with Icy Phoenix, are more values in the new versión, for that are a problem using the SQL.

Only lack de post, that is very complicated.

But well, i have to do manually

Why didn't you try to use the "update_to_ip.php" script??

Cause my old database, have mods installed, and that mods do problems with the update.

But don't worry now i decide do all again.
