Hi!
I'm testing Icy Phoenix and I have a problem I can't find a way to solve. I greatly enjoy this CMS and really want to install on my site but i need to upgrade the Forum only, don't want to have an Home Page like the one present in to the default CMS. Is there a way to have only the Icy Phoenix Forum installed ?
I've been searching a lot for a solution on the Forum but i really didn't find anything so I apologize if this problem has been already dealt with but I really didn't find the way to do it.

Greetings

At a guess I would say you copy forum.php and replace index.php with the copied forum.php(renamed to index.php)

Thanks tonyf12, that's a solution but isn't exactly what i'm looking for. At the moment i'm using almost the same trick: i modified the index.php file to redirect to the Forum Home and edited the overall_header.tpl to erase the link but so the Home is still present...i wanted to know if there was an "official" way to do it
Any other suggestion?

Greetings

There is another problem applying this solution..
As i said i edited the overall_header and inserted a redirect but so it still remains a path like this: Home » Forum » Icy Phoenix Support » General Support
Isn't really there a way to have Icy Phoenix installed without the Home??

Greetings

Yes there is:

edit, index_body.tpl - viewforum_body.tpl - viewtopic_body.tpl

look for something like:

Code: [Hide]
  1. ?>
  2. <a href="{U_PORTAL}">{L_HOME}</a>{NAV_SEP}<a href="{U_INDEX}" class="nav-current">{L_INDEX}</a>
  3. <?php
  4. }
  5. else{
  6. ?>
  7. <a href="{U_PORTAL}">{L_HOME}</a>{NAV_SEP}<a href="{U_INDEX}">{L_INDEX}</a>{NAV_CAT_DESC}
  8. <?php
  9. }
  10. ?>

I sure you can figure out the rest...

Wow, thanks a lot Zuker!! I really didn't expect so much help, you're simply great
I uploaded all files and everything seems to work properly. Your pack fixed the last "Home" link present on the left menu.
Thanks to all for your precious and really quick help, this Forum is absolutely excellent thx

Greetings

Zuker in the same fashion is it possible to capture the forum url in the topic too???

I mean currently when user opens a topic it doesn't have forum_id

I was wondering if there is a way of capturing forum_id when viewing the Topic.

If So I kindly request you to please assist me.

Thanks
