Hello,

i have some probs with the right encoding for Umlauts in german. If i use Ö, Ä, or Ü in some words and enter the pages for example:

http://www.caromonline.de/rss.php?atom or http://www.caromonline.de/rss.php

I have problems with the umlauts.

But if i enter the page http://www.caromonline.de/news_rss.php all works fine

I tried to set in the lang_main_settings.php a other encoding var, but it doesnt work.

Can you help me to solve this problem? Do you have the same problem or am I still the only one with this error?

greetz

Mmm... I currently don't have the time for this... but for sure is a charset issue.

Try to manually change it in the rss.php and let me know.

Hi, KugeLSichA
I tried to access your site, but it seems it's down .
Could you write what is your $lang['ENCODING'] an also $lang['ENCODING_ALT'] in lang_main_settings? I had similar problems with Serbian characters in RSS, and I solved it by setting a $lang['ENCODING_ALT'] as ISO equivalent of the primary $lang['ENCODING'] (for Serbian it's ISO 8859-2). Doesn't make sense, but it worked.
