Post subject: IP And Phpbb3?

Hey @ll,

I'm new here and searching for a portal/cms.

I prefer to use phpbb3. On the news site I read that theres actually no recoding for phpbb3, but in this thread a user spoke about converting his IP to phpbb3

So I'm a little bit confused now.

Can I use IP with phpbb3, too? Is it easy to migrate for example a phpbb2 bases IP to phpbb3?

I don't find a phpbb3 support thread via the search function, sorry if those threads already exists.

you have to downgrade to phpbb2

Clean_Tables_1.0.9.zip

and
then upgrade phpbb2 to phpbb3 (with phpbb3 normal installer)

it is easy and works

At the moment I only test phpbb3. Our Board is a phpbb2.

So, when I have a plain phpbb3 without Mods I only have to install IP?

I want to install a new phpBB3 with IP. At the moment I have a new installation of phpbb3 (without Mods) on my localhost for testing. Up to now I only converted a backup of the productive phpBB2 database to the test phpBB3 on my localhost.

Now I've a working phpBB3 Board on my localhost and want to know how to install IP?

Will Icy Phoenix be upgraded to phpBB 3?
At the moment there is no plan to upgrade Icy Phoenix to phpBB 3. There are several reasons for this. Of course when phpBB 3 will be out for a while, things may change...

I think you thought that you can convert from the "powered by phpbb2" to "powerde by phpbb3".
You´re wrong. That user has got the phpbb3 board system, but not icy phoenix.

Yes, I think I missunderstand it. Now I installed IP with phpbb2 and it seems that it works

Hi there,

I could not find clean table 1.0.9 in phpbb or hacks sites. I have tried clean table 1.0.8 in ip package, but not works. does anyone have spare one?

So phpBB 3 is out for a (long) while, and i want to ask if things have changed.

I actually work with phpBB 3 and the great Black Pearl Skin, and im very interestet in IP because this Style is also available for it.
Few weeks ago the phpBB Team announced the ending Support for phpBB2 and so i hopeful revisit this Board for Mighty Gorgon`s announcement: "things have changed" but unfortunately i didnt find it anywhere

I still don't think I will upgrade Icy Phoenix to phpBB 3.

Regarding support... I wouldn't mind, because in any case phpBB 2 is a different thing respect to Icy Phoenix... but you have to trust my work for that sentence to become true.

Do u know about Board3? (Its like a "Portal-Mod" for phpbb3)
Do u see the Chance to include it to the Black Pearl style?
