Hi Everyone

I have a mysql 4.1 DB that I have been using since around ICY v1.0.5.5 and I have upgraded over the top using the update_to_icy.php script on every release.

What exactly does this script do? Does it remove old entries in the tables not used anymore? Or does it clear out the entire DB in which i would lose posts and or users? I just want to get an idea whether I would need to run this script or not. I just don't want any old DB entries hanging around causing problems later.

Thanks for the help

clean_tables_ip.php: if you want to clean up your tables, resetting them to the default Icy Phoenix ones, you can use this files. This file is meant for standard Icy Phoenix, not for modded versions. This file may be used even when upgrading from other platform: phpBB Plus, IntegraMOD, FullyModded... etc. Please note that this action cannot be undone, make sure you have a full db backup before proceding.

it's from the instruction. hope this helps.

I read that I guess I just want to a clarification to what clear tables mean... does it zero everything back to fresh install so you lose data?
