Old Support Topics - Can't Activate Thumbnails In Posts :(

Post subject: Can't Activate Thumbnails In Posts :(

Hile, neighbours and friends...

I've gone to ACP / Configuration / Icy Phoenix / Images In Posts.

Thumbnails in posts --> Yes
Use Lightbox JavaScript if Thumbnails are enabled --> Yes
Thumbnails cache --> Yes (75 / 400)

After that I've gon to ACP / Configuratio / Clear Cache.

I've Cleared everything without error.

I've even deactivated "precompiled messages"

But still the images outside of my domain aren't shown... I only got that image "No Thumbnail"

Didn't even worked in my fresh installation at my testing site Have a Look

What have I done wrong?

I have the same problem and this is due to your host.

It would be great if GM could find some solution to the host unable to block the miniatures.

The problem resides in the php.ini file.
if you can handle it, you must to configure it to allow the next rule allow_url_fopen

Where is php.ini file?

My host is dreamhost and i only have access to my host files.

EDIT: I sended a ticket to my host.

Ok!!! Thank you... I'll ask my hosting... If I turn allow_url_fopen on thru .htaccess I get an "Internal Server Error"

So I'll ask them to turn on for me. I think they won't turn it on even if they have register_globals ON and safe_mode OFF

Inside your settings in you control panel (Plesk, Cpanel, etc...)

if the .htaccess file get an internal server error maybe your host provider dont allow this files or your apache configuration are bad.
And it's good idea send a ticket to your respectives host, they should fix the problem, cause several times they dont allw this kind of configurations

I solved the problem whith this http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Custom_PHP.ini
