Post subject: SOLVED - News Block And Configuring News?

I can't seem to figure out how to set up the news block to show the recent news on the site.

I have gone into acp to News configuration but am not getting anywhere. Can someone post a link or give me simple step by step instructions on how to get the news to show up in the block on the index page?

You have to go to CMS Panel >> add News block on portal>>> then try New Post >>select category right under subject line.

Thank you xmenfile that helped very much. Not sure why I complicate things lol but I do .. Thanks it is working now with no issues.
