I know this may have been listed here somewhere else. if it has I apologize but I have searched quite a bit for an answer.

I can't seem to find how to remove the Shoutbox from my forum listing. On the Main page I can remove it by using the CMS edit of the 3 column listing. But the forum appears to be its own beast. Once you click on forum it seems to have no way to remove the shoutbox. I can add items to it using the edit CMS then editing forum.php but shoutbox is not listed to remove it.

I just removed the shoutbox portion in the index_body.tpl file and then I am adding ajax shoutbox.
