After installing the Update Patch

IE ver 8 - Looks, "Great"
FireFox 3.0.13 - Looks, "Great"
Google Chrome - Looks, "Not So Good." Forum Board pages extends way past the established right margin (almost a half of a page needs to be scrolled).

Dave, Do you have the latest stable Google Chrome or the Beta Release. ?

You tell me, and I'll download which one and install it.

Problem is fixed-width template. It's in FF and IE too, only it's not behaving where you would possibly pick up on that it's really too far to the right.

Anyway, try this.

Code: [Hide] [Select]
Copy: /templates/default/index_body.tpl

To: /templates/icy_phoenix/index_body.tpl

Open: /templates/icy_phoenix/index_body.tpl

Find:

<!-- BEGIN show_recent -->
<tr>
<td class="row-recent" nowrap="nowrap" align="left">
<span class="gensmall">
<b>{L_RECENT_TOPICS}:</b>

Remove: nowrap="nowrap"

Other than that - Google doesn't know how to handle some scripts properly yet.

Just so that I am clear that you are clear on the fact that this is just not confined to the style Icy Phoenix but it happens with other styles that I have installed.

After your fix the following works.

Icy Phoenix
Frozen Phoenix

Does not work:

Black Pearl
Floreal
Morpheus
Post-it

I have done enough assuming with this script so, I will not do that again without asking.

I assume that I just copy the index_body.tpl into the other directories as well, ie.,

Black Pearl: Copy To: /templates/pearl/index_body.tpl
Floreal: Copy To: /templates/floreal/index_body.tpl
Morpheus: Copy To: /templates/morpheus/index_body.tpl
Post-it: Copy To: /templates/postitindex_body.tpl

Thanks,

Dave

Ok, best way.

Move the index_body.tpl to /templates/default/index_body.tpl - Overwrite the existing one.

Then tell me which themes don't conform.

I uploaded the edited index_body.tpl to /templates/default/index_body.tpl as suggested.

They are all conforming now.

In order to try and keep a clean system, should I remove the index_body.tpl from templates/icy_phoenix/index_body.tpl or just leave it there?

Thanks,

Dave

Yes, do remove it because unknowingly in the future it could cause problems by forgetting that it's there.

Your other problem? I may wait until Mike or one of the others has a look at it - because I'm just about whacked at the moment; and it's time for me to be winding down - Not revving up some more.
