Post subject: Flash News - Charset

How can I make flash news, shows correct with Charset: iso-8859-7

in flash_news.php I have replace the

Code: [Hide] [Select]

$xml_content .= '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>' . "\n";

with

Code: [Hide] [Select]

$xml_content .= '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-7"?>' . "\n";

but I did not see any difference.

I assume that the corrections must be in the flash file....

Any help pls?

This issue could be related to different charset which could not be converted... :sad:

Next Icy Phoenix version supports UTF8 only so you should not have this issue any more (if you will upgrade correctly!)... unfortunately it could not be solved easily in current Icy Phoenix stable release. :sad:

but I hope to provide special care for special Charset: iso-8859-7 (for greece) or for Rusian, because the conversion to UTF8 alone is not always successfully.
and this not only for this feature but for the entire contents of a ICY site
