So my forums http://www.tgntriat.org/ went blank white this weekend.

After a couple days of poking at the host, it seemed to be resolve to a cache issue on the forum side.

I cleared out the cache manually and now when I try to post, I am getting the following error:

[Icy Phoenix Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 4143: readdir() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given

The site still posts the message but just gives a full white screen to this error like it is scrolling.

I tries searching Google but found no reference to this error.

Help?

Replace /includes/functions.php with a copy from your backup or Original .zip file.

I appreciate the help, but I managed to fix it using the emergency console link. It was a cache issue, apparently of large consequence.

So what I did, for everyone else that has this error..

I went to www.domain.com/adm/erc.php

This opens up the Emergency Recovery Console.

From there, I ran a Clear Cache command, used my admin login and it went and properly cleared the cache.

The site came up and open with no errors. I was happy.

Thanks for letting us know how you fixed it. Sometimes I think that the cache gets so big that it becomes a problem in itself.

Yeah that is fair.

The thing about this is that I am still learning the ins and out of this software as someone else installed it. Sooooo, I try to help maintain it as best I can. My next task is to see about getting Tapatalk API installed. Sigh, no autoinstall..

Someone else asked about Tapatalk - But it's not a MOD and is in fact a whole stand-alone programme that more or less requires a bridge.

MG did approach the authors of it, but as I understand they were less than helpful at creating a bridge for Icy Phoenix.

And then again - Even if MG created a bridge it would no doubt only be available for the "Latest" version of IP - So you would have to upgrade too if you haven't already done so.

As a matter of fact - The tapatalk topic is here ->

Is there something missing in the mobile version that TapaTalk brings?

No Good asking me - Don't know anything about it?

Come to think of it - Don't know much about ANY of it any more...

I will be investigating that asap.

The person who installed this, I don't know if they touched the mobile settings or not, I am looking at the software tonight to see.

Mostly I am just trying to get the site to be mobile phone friendly is all and I wasn't aware that it was already integrated in the software.

Obie, What version of Icy Phoenix are you using?

Because the mobile theme is only available in the late versions*

You should find it in the bottom of the ACP...

It's quite a long job to allow the template to be fully responsive... but I'll try my best to get something basic working at least.
