In my opinion it is not UTF-8

You changed "only" ÜÄÖßüäö to html format

well see for yourself the browser says utf-8
and the chars are properly diplayed i think that is like it supposed to be
or not ?

Because the server i installed icy on
messed up the chars allover so it was unreadable .

So i tought i fix that .

I don't know what the problem for you was... but glad you solved it.

You can change some settings in lang_main_settings.php

We are now working on "real" UTF-8 for IP... so you will get it with next IP release
