Post subject: Re: CUSTOMIZATION - How To Customise Page.
Hi, I have searched the forum and have not found a topic that deals with this, i may have missed it. I would like to know if there is a way, and if there is how to do it, of editing the overall page using html.

I have reasonable html knowledge, although i am not an expert, and I would like to create the effect muck like this page:http://boards.mpora.com/forums/, so that the forum is effectively part of my existing website. I would like to have my own header with logo and links and a side column with some links and advertising in it, much like the home page of my website www.windsurfblog.org .

Can I do it by somehow editing the code for the page that appears if you view the source code in the browser?
Can I somehow embed the code within that of my existing site?
Can I change the format of the existing PHP files in some way? or any other suggestions?

Many thanks and i hope this all made sense.
Regards
Callum

You can use the existing CMS to do just about everything you are asking about. And in particular, creating something like this. http://boards.mpora.com

The /CMS/*.tpl files ARE html and can be edited with any script or mark-up you wish either through ADMIN or manually.

Read the documentation section on "How to create a new page" (Or something like that?)

And then open your questions in a NEW thread.

By the way - Your site looks absolutely AWFUL using higher resolutions above what you have "fixed" it at, it also contains 163 Warnings of poorly applied or missing mark-up that should be fixed if it's ever going to be suitable for all browsers.
