I guess you should disable any avatar uploading or linking features.

I would change hosting... as you see it's not a matter of Icy Phoenix being resource waster... it is a matter of a host with really restricted policies.

I guess that [b]getimagesize[/b] is the problem for them...

I had the same problem too but on the sitemap.php file that it was using too much CPU. but they gave me a warning and told me to delete the file. so i did. and made a new generated sitemap.xml file to keep it.
