Problem With The File .htaccess

Hello!!!

My problem is that when I'm uploading the file .htaccess my host says that filetype  is not allowed, but I tried to upload with another name ( htaccess ) and finally it's uploaded... i wonder if that would generate problems when I install the forum...

your forum should work anyway... but the .htaccess are at the package for security reasons ;)

Try renaming it to [highlight=#FFFFAA]htaccess.txt[/highlight]
Upload and then (on the server) rename it back to [highlight=#FFFFAA].htaccess[/highlight]

If the server doesn't support .htaccess he cannot do anything :(
