Upgrade From Icy Phoenix 1.2.0.27 To 1.2.21.48 RC1

Hello all.

   Could anybody inform me if the upgrade from 1.2.0.27 to 1.2.21.48 RC1 is relatively secure or the risk to upgrade it is high yet?
   Does the upgrade cause damage in the database?
