FAP SUPPORT - Show Subcategories ! - But Not On Index

Hi,
i really like enjoy this great mod but i only whant to make one change

i enabled the show subcategories but i want that this subcategories are not shown at the album index - subcats should only be shown when the user is in a category (if that category hast subcategories of corse)

now that i have only 3 categories on album index i thought of doin this manually with an if subid = '1' then or so

but my php knowledge is very very poor - can anybody help me there?

think i figured out that i have to edit the album.php , but don't know where and even don't know if that's possible at all
