Eeeeeeek!, and I bought Vista some months ago - Just haven't got around to installing it. ;)

And a lot of peeps are abandoning it. :(

Microsoft may extend Windows XP "downgrade" deadline by six months

Given the results thus far, we suppose we're not too surprised to hear that firms are still clamoring for the XP option, but one wonders when this madness will ever end. Will folks really be opting for XP on new machines after Windows 7 is out?

Over 1 in 3 users had defected to Microsoft's previous OS. Granted, the tool cannot take into account Linux users or even the "Hackintosh crowd," though as Randall Kennedy puts it, 35% is "still a huge percentage, and way out of proportion for even the dramatically unpopular Windows Vista."

I bought the Vista Home Premium upgrade a year ago it seems and I used it for a whole week. After seeing how much slower my computer ran, I downgraded to Windows XP Home Edition again.

I have vista pre-installed on my laptop... and xp on my desk

I have to say at first Vista was a bitch to get used to... but most of the programs I use run on it and it isn't that bad...

though if I have an older program on it running and it goes into sleep mode it will reboot for some unknown reason so I have to remember to save save save...

though if I could have xp I would..

Thunder Downunder should have made this a poll too, LOL.

XP - 2
Vista - 1

Poll added...

I bought a Vista license more than one year ago... but I have to admit that I still prefer XP.

Anyway, I use both... Vista on my main PC and XP on my laptop.

I´ve Vista preinstalled on my Laptop.

I´m really thinking about downgrading, cause it´s a real pain in the ....

First thing is the space it ocupies on harddrive.
second is the speed. third is that still a lot of proggies got problems with it.
and it askes you all the time if you want to execute a program like Wamp server for example

XP is a lot faster

Umm, "Windows 7" & "Ubuntu 11.04" and testing "Windows 8" ;) So I guess I can't vote.

Main machine Windows7 Ult. 64bit but XP Pro 32 bit on an old barrel that is close to death

In my opinion they are simply forcing everybody to buy bigger and faster puters by abandoning XP, I call it market strategy

PS... oooh I voted XP
