This is another mod I was wondering if was available?
"Editors Pick" block, allowing a user to enter a Photo ID in the ACP and it displays the image in a block on the index or header.

So there is no current block that will do this? (display image/title block for a photo from a personal gallery that an admin sets)

resolved. i used smartors random/recent block, set it to recent, displaying a photo from a single category, and will copy photos to the editors pick catagory every month.
