OK... After several mishaps concerning the upgrade of FAP to 1.4.1, because we were told that moving to the latest would get rid of all of the above error. we are exactly back at square one with the addition of some OTF gallery that we have yet to learn about and blue stars.

Can someone please help me cure this ill once and for all. I will do whatever I have to do for you to help me. :mryellow:

hmm, do you still get this error? Looks like it is working fine when I am looking at it

We do. It is only in the Personal Galleries and you'd have to be a member of a particular Usergroup to see it.

As the admin, I have no problem but the members do on MOST personal galleries. I am not sure why only one work and others do not. I thought maybe it had to do with creating sub categories within the personal galleries but it does not.

I am at my wits end with this so any help is appreciated. I can give you access to see what I am talking about.

What version were you using before upgrade ?

Valid question. It was 1.2.1

It's sure looks like the error occurs for PG's w/subcats.....
Why, I really don't know at the moment... Maybe MG will drop in soon and offer some of his knowledge.

Just to perhaps narrow the problem a bit, would you go to your ACP album configuration and set

Show the number of total comments for current categories and all it's sub categories in index table to No ... then check if any other errors appear.

Didn't seem to help anything. The error may have changed some.

Another thing that I may or may not have mentioned and it might mean something. I don't get the error as an admin. Only those who are permitted to see the image gets it.

Before FAP, did you have Smartor's album installed ?

Not really sure what we had. This is the second version we have had. I can't even recall where I downloaded it from. I am guessing the phppb site.

Ok, if you had Smartor's before this could be part of the problem with the personal galleries.

Run the file fap_install.php (again), but this time click on the Migrate Personal Galleries from Smartor Album without CH link.

If it returns There aren't any 'old' personal galleries to migrate. Script is ending., then the problem is probably not related to an old Smarter installation.

Artie you rock for trying to help us with this. I hope that the photos over there aren't scaring you off.

I haven't tried what you said yet, but I will point out that this problem existed BEFORE the upgrade. The problem is the reason we did so.

Yes, I understand..... but if you originally had Smartor's with personal galleries, this step should have been done after the FAP installation.
Without access to your database, this is the only way to verify this has been done.

I don't know that this will fix it, but I"m hoping it will..... I can't think of anything else that would cause this short of a bad installation.
