Post FAP SUPPORT - Resize To Mid-thumbnail And Popup Combined Possible?

I'm playing around with the FAP settings and basically on album_showpage, i want the picture not to stretch the screen so i think i found out that mid-thumbnail is designed to set size of each picture on album_showpage

but then i want users to click the picture to get fullsize, but as a popup, so again, it won't stretch screen
so i set "View full pic as a popup" to Yes, but what that seems to do is make the small thumbnails clickable as popup and i can never get back to the album_showpage with the single picture and details

so really what i want to do is:
1) click on smallest thumbnail --> gets to album_showpage with picture details and resized picture to fit screen
2) click on resize picture to show fullsize picture in new popup

it doesn't seem to do this..am I misunderstanding the setting? I really don't want any picture to stretch the screen

thanks

Post Re: Resize To Mid-thumbnail And Popup Combined Possible?

If you set view full pic as popup and click on thumbnail, pic shows alone in new window.
If you set view full pic as popup, mid thumbs enabled, and click on image title, mid size pic shows in showpage and is clickable to full size in showpage.
If you set view full pic as popup, mid thumbs disabled, and click on image title, full size pic shows in new showpage.

You should set the pic dimensions in the ACP to resize the uploads where they do not stretch your screen
