Post FAP CUSTOMIZATION - Personal Galleries - Private Or Invite Only?

We would like to allow our members to maintain their own personal galleried and keep them private or make them by invitation only.  Is this possible?

Personal galleries (although currently not even working on our site - I feel hopeful they will someday) are marked in FAP config as Private so only the Usergroup (Active participants) can see them.  We have some members who would like greater control over who sees their photos.  Is there an easy way to do this?

I have thought about creating a usergroup for each member and allowing them to moderate and pick which other member/usergroup can see them but that would be a logistical nightmare for me to keep up with and for me to explain to each member wanting to accomplish it.

I have thought about hiding the link to the personal galleries from the album page but anyone in the Active Participants group could go through each member looking to see if they have a personal gallery and access it from their profile.

Is anyone doing anything like this?  Is there an easier way?

At the moment there is no easy way for FAP...

You may install something like FRIEND OR FOE, o a buddy list... then integrate it with FAP.

It shouldn't be difficult if you know some basics of PHP.
