casimedicos, let me explain what I did, and let me point out that this is not the final version...
First of all I have not used your package, I've coded it from scratch... why?
Your package is adding a couple of unuseful files and includes, which are not needed... plus it has some JS I've always avoided to include in XS: the ROLLOVER IMAGES. I don't like this kind of JS because the same effect may be reached by CSS and it will be crossbrowser compatible. It's a personal taste, I have nothing personal against those kind of scripts.
Having said that, what you can see here is a work in progress, and it is not completed yet. I'm thinking to add some descriptions as your mod has, but I'm still thinking at the best way to show them.
I partially agree to the fact that the icons may be misleading if we have the text link too... but I'll try to put things differently and have another turn of the wheel!

i am agree in that js must be deleted, and rollover unneccesary
i want to say that original modification was on working progress too (i believe that this was clear), and i do it because my users are lost in original cpanel of xs,...

ther modification that i think that is needed it is to change the text control panel on menu, to your info or your settings (in spanish: tus datos), ...
while you dont do a public release for new version i´ll do a repackage for original mod for xs58, clean (without js), with langs included, ...
you do a great job, but for me its unuseful, its the only thing that i say, i need to do the system more usability, and clear for my users... then i am coding more modifications, new easy template, etc...
i don't know what of them i'll do a public release or not...

your modification its good, but i believe that need 2 changes
1. descriptions under graphics and links, as original modification
why? because most of users, don't understand any .....
2. organizations on images like left menu
divide tables on sections
