I'm thinking that no reason to make block
you may create link in quick navigation links [you are professionals]
also you can add info about users on chat at forum page [index_body.tpl]
it sounds {TOTAL_CHATTERS_ONLINE}

Have you a link where this MOD is installe to view how it does work and how does it appear ? For example, this Chat MOD have the sound function when a new message has sent ?
