Hello!! I just created my forum yesterday.  So..forgive me if I sound dumb LOL

When I have the regular template active, all of my permissions are correct.  I have the site where approved members can see certain forums.  Anyway.. as admin, I can add topics, delete, edit, and reply, etc.   And members can reply, etc.  But..when I added the CUTE mg_xmas template, I cannot add topics, edit, reply, etc. Members cannot reply either (I have a test membership set up not as an admin).  It says when I'm logged on as admin:
You can post new topics in this forum
You can reply to topics in this forum
You can edit your posts in this forum
You can delete your posts in this forum
You can post attachments in this forum

BUT, the buttons are gone to allow the posts, editing, etc.

I've temporarily disabled the template so I can add some topics and info to the forum, but I really LOVE this template and would like to use it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

have you tried to clear template cache and/or site cache? Maybe it helps to solve it

I cleared the site cache and refreshed the template. But... it didn't fix the problem. Any other suggestions?  

 

Xmen..I see you're using the same template on your forum.  What am I doing wrong? My permissions are correct.. it says I can post, reply, etc. but there are no buttons for them.

and test user and pass please?

this is not icyphoenix
your site is pbpBB3 (if you are on begginig maybe you can reinstal you forum to icyphoenix..but this is your decision)

so now i need to recheck all from start
i will need to install xmas on my test to see what to do ...

Hmmm ok well I went to the phbb3 site and the template was there. So I assumed it would work on there?   So, I'm a little confused..sorry. I'm new to the forum so not sure.

ok..
there are problems also on default style
i cant made new topic

i can only reply

normaly (without buttons ) if you know right adress you can post or post reply
but not in your forum (i m talking also on default style)

so i googled why this happend but didnt find right answer
 so posibile reasons can be :
1.your permissions are messed up
2.something with your host is wrong (http://forum.no2id.net/viewtopic.php?p=95254&sid=d8acff47969cabf66a6726f89db471ad)

check again your permissions

i realy dont know the reason
also i saw you have lot languages instaled
my suggestion is try remove all exept english (that also can be cause of this)

my suggestion is also that you install icyphoenix forum
icyphoenix also have mxsmas theme integrated by default

let me know what you did about above reasons

I do have permissions set where members can't post new topics..just reply to ours..its a board sharing my digital designs for their candy biz..   anyway.. how much is it for this icy phoenix forum? and how would I go about installing it?   I use zen cart for my website... and I went through there in admin and found the phbb forum and installed it on my site.

I'll try and go remove some languages.

CHMODing is really easy.  Depending on what FTP client you use, try right clicking on the folder/file that needs to have permissions changed and click on properties.  Type the digits into the box manually.

Icy Phoenix does not come with ads, but you can add your own ads if you wish.  A lot of users like to use Google AdSense or AdBrite to help generate a little extra income from their site.  That is up to you.

I live in Georgia, USA, and this site always loads up quite slow for me too.
