SOLVED Problem After Change My User Name

Subject: Problem After Change My User Name
Hello all.

I'm setting up a new forum with phpBB XS 058 at http://habetrot.hal9mil.com

Originally my user name was "hal9000" but I changed it to "Avada Kedavra" (yes, it's another forum about Harry Potter drop ) by editing my user information in ACP. Well, the problem is that now I can see the new user name in "logout (username)" option and also in my user profile but in all other places the forum continues showing the old username. All the post says "hal9000" even the new ones I post after the user name change. I checked the database and found some places with "hal9000" that I changed to "Avada Kedavra", but still no luck.

Am I doing something wrong or skipping some step?

Thanks in advance.

try to empty precompiled post & cache

Thanks for your reply, Zuker. I've done both things already, but no luck. This is weird, if the database contains the new user name, and the post information contains the user ID and recover the user name by querying that database... How can it show the old user name?

Edit:   As I said, it didn't work when I deleted the cache from ACP, but it worked now that I deleted manually all the files in the "cache" folder. So, it seems like the ACP option to delete the cache is not working properly, is it?

Yes, yes! Sorry, it works now, but it's still weird, see what I added in the previous post editing.

because the "delete cache" function doesn't delete profile cache files ;)
