Wordgraph Error - Is This A Bug?

Subject: Wordgraph Error - Is This A Bug?
Hello everyone, hoping you can once again help me please.

I have a post that contains the word receive (please note, receive is spelt, I before E, except after C). On the wordgraph on the front page of my site, many words come up including recieve (which is incorrectly spelt). I was flabbergasted and clicked on it to see the post but can confirm that the originating post DOES have the correct spelling of receive.

Part of what my site plans to do is proof-reading, so having incorrect spelling on the front page is unacceptable, but I feel the wordgraph is a brilliant system to assist with the look of my site.

Is there a way to find out a) how to fix the problem, b) how it has happened and to ensure there are not other incorrectly spelt words and c) if this is considered to be a bug and therefore needs to be moved to the bug forum?

Any help appreciated.

It is not an error...

It is a feature of phpBB: some words maybe automatically converted when inserted in the search table, so that word with the same meaning, or words being mispelled or unuseful words may be "intelligently" added to the db.

Take a look at search_stopwords.txt and search_synonyms.txt in your lang folder.

aarrgghh thank you for explaining that. a 'feature of phpbb' huh? LOL. hmmmmm bummer their feature makes my site look unprofessional. LOL

Sorry, but I don't agree... it is just the contrary... it is professional to interpret mispelled words as the same word...

Anyway this is immediately solved by emptying the stopwords and synonyms files...

Remember also to rebuild your search tables then...
