Save Forum.php To Disk

Subject: Save Forum.php To Disk
like.. wtf

screenshotmx9.th

as it says..
I was at XS Mods forum
looking at the chatbox mod..
then returned to XS Mods

and when I click on Forum then I got that window if I wanted to download forum.php

using FireFox 1.5.0.6 this time (my own pc with Opera is broke that's why :()
with the MG Winter theme

this has to be the weirdest bug I've ever seen..
and it's not really secure either I guess..

Subject: Re: Save Forum.php To Disk
are you download or saved? :)

I did this way and nothing

Subject: Re: Save Forum.php To Disk
no I didn't ;)

I have this alot around here now..
forum.php - viewtopic.php - shoutbox.php
those 3 until now happen alot just while browsing through the forum..

when I just click the link again I'll go there
not with the shoutbox that just happens when I go to forum.php and it should be loading

I don't have it on any other site
and it would be my dad's browser problem so ain't gonna touch that

Subject: Re: Save Forum.php To Disk
Yes it's strange... but I agree with difus... it should be your browser!

Subject: Re: Save Forum.php To Disk
I had the same problem with different pages. I downloaded one of them but all I got was binary.

Subject: Re: Save Forum.php To Disk
Never happened to me yet...

Subject: Re: Save Forum.php To Disk
Yes, it was happened to me, but just with forum.php page.

Subject: Re: Save Forum.php To Disk
In my opinion... it's not a bug of phpBB XS... it's browser/pc related.

But I may be wrong...

Subject: Re: Save Forum.php To Disk
I doubt it's a client problem nor a XS problem. I think it's a server problem. If the server doesn't respond correctly to a client request and sends a for the browser unknown file, the browser will open the download window giving the user the opportunity to download the file, like with any other binary file.

Subject: Re: Save Forum.php To Disk
Yes... this is the most convincing reason...

Subject: Re: Save Forum.php To Disk
Yes... I had the same problem few months ago...
I still don't know "why", but changing the my.conf and the php.ini with a couple that Bicet provided me solved the problem.

Subject: Re: Save Forum.php To Disk
I cannot change those files for this server...
