Yes, but shoutbox wasn't refreshing shoutbox.php or shoutbox_view.php file?

Every time I get this warning is because of this: http://www.icyphoenix.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7401&highlight=

It's happening more and more (also to all other sites I post there) so I will consider change to SVN version as I think this won't happen.

More findings:

Could it be Google Analitycs or Amung.us (I have an image)?

Subject: Re: Excessive Processes Running
i don´t think so, since i use analytics with new icy svn, and this does´nt happen.

I think, this could have something to do with server resources and PHP versions

Subject: Re: Excessive Processes Running
spydie, do you have googleads too?

PD: Ok, Google Analytics isn't the problem.

Subject: Re: Excessive Processes Running
Any news on this? Did you solve your issues?

Mighty Gorgon, nop.
I quit all external thing like Google Analytics and still it still happens.

I got some reports from the apache log and the first one it was one IP trying to load the same page... 100 times simultaneously. The second time an IP trying to GET / HTTP/1.1 (90 - 100 simultaneously), no page to load :S .

Have you tried Google for "Excessive Processes Running" ?

Have you contacted your ISP with this problem?

Switch ISP. :mryellow:

Subject: Re: Excessive Processes Running
spydie, one was an American Mobile Operator, the other an Argentinian single IP (a user I suppose).

mort, no, I didn't ask my hosting company because only affect the icyphoenix forum, not the wordpress (for example) that are in the same server.

Subject: Re: Excessive Processes Running
You might block these IP´s by editing the .htaccess file

i did with some bots or IP´s , that seemed to crash my server ( resources)

Subject: Re: Excessive Processes Running
I'm getting email notifications several times per day (at different times) on "Excessive processes running under user" for exactly the same process. This only started a week ago and I've no idea why it would happen. The email notification text is below - this is an excerpt of 15 lines on each email.
The forum is PHPBB2 and I've 5 different installations on the server but none of the others has this error. This forum only has 40 members and about 3/4 posts per day, so is very quiet. Can anyone advise what the problem might be or how I can check to see what it is?

Subject: Re: Excessive Processes Running
No offence my friend,

PHPBB2 support died a long time ago, so you would be very lucky to get anyone to support you with this.

Some of the die-hards at phpbb.com may - But I wouldn't count on it. :(
