The chat of my site (you can find it in my profile) is created simply by adding a new page to the portal, and using a wide html block in order to use a pjirc applet (client to connect to an irc channel).
I like it like that, but I'd wish to do 2 things I don't know how to do:
- Adding a block in portal that shows how many people are in chat
- Make the applet recognize the logged in user (in forum) and automatically change his nick in the irc channel (instead of typing by himself "/nick my_nick"
I can't create php code on my own, so if someone could help (even just suggesting some mod to take the code from or something like that) I would be thankful ;)
"how Many Users In Chat" Block

For phpbb I know a mod and I tried it some days ago and with Icy Phoenix and it doesn't want work because the source code is different.
On pjirc.com under plugins you can find it.
I'm also searchin for a mod with pjirc for Icy but I think we should wait bit maybe somebody will be able to code it for icy. how knows
