SOLVED Colour Groups

Subject: Colour Groups
Hi

I recently noticed my color groups have stopped working and after going through every file (no mod to check the code for this) basically when a user joins a group it just places their color as an active user....

As far as I can tell the database isnt storing the information as it should and I cant see where in the files this works...

After manually adding the group color in the users table it works fine but I dont want to do that for every users...

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have spent 2 days trying to fix but cant see where the code is in the files

Thanks for reading

Are you sure that there aren't rules overlapping each others with automatic groups joining?

Subject: Re: Colour Groups
I have created two private groups for viewing forums but the rest of the groups are exactly the same...

After doing some research I noticed the groups stopped working after the new group color code was done.... but as it works for everyone else's forums then that has no relavance....

Admin is moderator of all groups.... and users are in users groups and active users group but I cannot change active users as far as I can tell...

I have looked through the code for this and found no changes in my site to that of original icy....

I have looked through the database and I believe the color_group_add in ip_users isnt getting filled in...

definately something I have done but still trying to find what I have changed or erased that is stopping this... :(

though I not knowingly have erased anything..

Ok I have made some head way with this.... I installed the subscription mod about 8 months ago to ip... (not tested it yet) and found in groupcp.php it changed some code which affected the whole color mod... I have replaced the code back to its original state and have this pretty much working again... I will look at the code to see if and what might need changing ... incase anyone else needs it..
