I have been having some issues with my installation of IP. This is the latest issue I am having with the latest stable release of IP.
I changed my password recently, but cannot remember what the password is. When I click on the "forgot Password" link I am presented with,
"Due to security reasons it is not possible to send a new password every 20 minutes. Please contact the administrator if you are having difficulties!"
The last time I clicked on forgot password was the first time I had done so in two days. Why would I be presented with this message when it had been two days since requesting the password? BTW, that is the message I was presented with the last time I clicked on the "forgot Password" link even though that was the first time I had done so in months. Would this have something to do with a permission and ctracker?
Due To Security Reasons It Is Not Possible To Send A New Password Every 20 Minutes

I had this same problem about a year ago.
Fortunately, I had another administrator on my Icy Phoenix that was able to log in and disable a setting.
If you have another administrator that is able to log in, ask them to go to:
ACP -> CrackerTracker -> Settings -> Turn on Login Protection -> Disable.
You should be able to log in now. I've kept mine disabled for over a year now and everything works just fine.

But you can also disable this in phpmyadmin.
That could be another way to solve this. ;-)

Thanks for the help. I had the other admin login and change the setting, but it had no effect. I had the other admin change my password and that fixed my problem. The odd thing is when she forgot her password, she was able to retrieve one. It make me wonder how many other members are having this problem. I will clear cache in IP and hopefully that will fix the issue and the setting change will take effect.

I never experienced this so far.
I will check.
