And try to massmail again

I changed Disabled to Enabled.

User email via board
Users send email to each other via this board X Enabled Disabled

I do not want to send out a mass email so, I selected group PM.

It worked.

I guess the User email via board was misleading since I wanted to send PM.

you might not have send mail activated on yuor hosting account... you need to check with yuor host about this...

also smtp is not an issue all you need to do is place your sitename in the first box for example icyphoenix.com

then your username and password for your hosting account... what you log in to your cpanel with..

then email will be sent through your site as normal... my host had a problem with send mail so i had to use smtp on the site for a bit.. it makes no difference..

ye that is how it should be if it does not work use your web address without the 'www'

if not there is a problem somewhere else

does your contact page sent you an email if someone uses it..?

well if email is getting sent from the site you do not need to do the smtp set up...

have you tried uploading another copy of admin_megamail.php to your site to see if thsat makes a differance also

check your cpanel error log to see if that is showing up any erros when sending mass email

I just set up SMTP and sent a mass email out to a specific group of which I am a part of and I received the email.

My CPANEL Log (In other words, there is not log since the db and files were restored)
