I have the same problem and the same message. I set CHMOD of "uploads" folder to 777, but I cannot try nothing in that folder after uploading. The server's admin told me to set "pafiledb" folder CHMODS to 777, but nothing changed.
Maybe my setting in the "Configuration" panel are incorrect: I've installed IP in the site root (www.mysite.xxx).

It's a server problem.
You can't do anything but ask your server about it

Try to check you don't have .HTACCESS in pafiledb folders/subfolders.

There is no .htacces file in pafiledb directory and its subdirectories. Is this the problem?

I haven´t .htaccess in that folders and it's working now. The problem of Algs is solved. The guilty was the server.

Try to make some tests online... sometimes local server doesn't support some features.
