Since my number of forums is growing (even i havent started), I wonder if its possible to have separate QuickLinks block devoted only for links to forums. Fully functional-colapsible like standard QuickLinks... I mean not within the existing QuickLinks, but a separate block. And to place it on the right for example.

I figured out how to change links in QuickLinks, but I am dreaming of the brand new separate block  

Imagine, you dont need to push back button, just simply click the forum name in ForumQuickLinks block and Vuala!

due to the big number of forums, I want to put links to all my forums into a separate block. pls check the attachment (visualization).
is possible to make this way?
- rename the nav_links files from block and template folders into ..forum_links
- copy into server.
- add nav block with forum_links into portal template
- to edit the new file ..forum_links.tpl and to put in the url links to all my forums..

what else should be corected ? will it work?

Yes, it is possible... I'm creating a new menu system for Icy Phoenix which is completed about 40%... should be easiest with that.

At the moment I think that the best way should be creating an HTML block... or duplicate the NAV_LINKS template.

I've edited nav_links_block.tpl to create a link to my new file nav_quick_links2.tpl

It does bring up a second quick links box on the index page, however when clicking on new 'Main Links' option it just shows/hides the original 'Main Links' menu.  

Can you tell me how to stop this happening, and how to rename the new 'Main Links' box to 'Regional Links' please?

you have to create new "id" for eah category. do not use the same id like in nav_quicklinks

I've attached the new file but I've left some of the table blank to fill in later, plus I've not included any hyperlinks, as those pages don't exist (yet).  Can you please give this new menu the title 'Regional Links' please?
