Installing XS But Want To Keep My Old Content And Members
Subject: Re: Installing XS But Want To Keep My Old Content And Member
What I did was took my members usernames / emails / password *hashes* from the old Database,
then created users with the right name, except bogus passwords, then manually edited each SQL query (with phpMYAdmin) and changed hte password to the appropriate password, and it worked perfectly.
No *file* contains usernames or passwords, its all stored in a database table (from what I can tell)
As for posts, I'm not sure how to back those up (I assume by content you meant posts :P)

And take a look at the /docs/ directory in the package.
Maybe the Documentation will help?! http://www.icyphoenix.com/documentation-how-to-vf4.htmlECM Carl wrote: [View Post]
