I had a problem with my homepage. It didn't load while all my site ran fine.


I tried to disable EVERY block and enabling them one by one and I found that the news block freezes the home page.


If you go to this clone site I am upgrading http://nuovo.kope.it (and you have the patience to wait 2 minutes    ) it will load the page with this error:

First I thought it was a database problem, but if I disable the news block all works fine:


Page Generation Time: 1.3256s (PHP: 59% SQL: 41%)
SQL queries: 32 - Debug On - GZIP Enabled

I did further tests and found that the news that give problems are the ones with images.


I set from ACP 1 news per page.


Now, here's the home of the test forum: http://nuovo.kope.it and all works


Here is the link to the 4th news, that has an image: http://nuovo.kope.it/index.php?news=article&start=4 ---> it doesn't load.

The images aren't hosted on your server, right?

You're right, that one is hosted on imageshack.


If I delete the image, the news is shown correctly.

So it's an issue with server load external images :S

That news has always been there with XS...  

And in the upgraded forum is shown correctly in viewtopic...


If it was a server problem, shouldn't it cause problem wherever shown?

Mighty suggested this for another issue, but I tried:


Disable config restore in CTracker config and now all works fine.


But I would not consider the problem as "Solved"...

Please enable CT debug and check if you have something in your logs.
