 Make Main Admin User #1
The main admin is user # 2 is there any way to make him no # 1 ?? without any problems
cuz in memberlist it shows 1 and in the post, 2
cuz i tried changing with phpmyadmin....but after that....the main admins posts didnt show in the forum at all!?!?!

Don't change user id's!
Almost all the features are associed with user_id. So if u change it, you'll cause only trouble

Almost all the features are associed with user_id. So if u change it, you'll cause only trouble
Thanks for the advice Zuker. I think when we start fresh (ie 0 posts and users) ...then we can change user ID...but too bad...

There is no user id #1, it starts from 2 and for guest is set to -1

Memberlist shows a progressive counter starting from one... that is not the real ID.
In viewtopic you have the real ID.
Forget to change ID to one... you'll have many problems.

He can be number one, but all the codes and mods based on main admin id = 2 won't work fine.

Sometimes ago I raised the same question... is it possibile to have a list of where to find the admin id = 2 related mods in order to changing them?
For example, I am a secondary admin but the previous admin is selling me the domain and the site, I'd like to set myself as main admin... is it a problem to list at least the files involved?

I haven't a list, you should try to search in all the files.
What is the problem on being admin with a different id? If you have access to FTP and MySQL it's not important the id you have... what is important is just that you have admins privileges.

I haven't a list, you should try to search in all the files.
What is the problem on being admin with a different id? If you have access to FTP and MySQL it's not important the id you have... what is important is just that you have admins privileges.
With SQL access I can reactivate myself or set myself as admin, but another admin can still erase my user... no?

You can hardcode this including your ID in common.php...

You can hardcode this including your ID in common.php...
Try to have a look at it.
