please try to explain your problem better, I don't understand fully what you mean.

Zuker was reffering to cookie settings on your Icy Phoenix, not on your computer. Follow the link he gave you, an set up your cookie settings in ACP->Server settings like he instructed on that page.
And for your second problem (if i understood you well), you have unread messages which are dissappearing when you logoff and logon again. Please try to switch to UPI2DB mode (it's used on this site), more advanced system of tracking unread posts, which rely on SQL instead on cookies. To activate it, go to ACP -> Unread Messages Configuration and set UPI2DB mod to enabled there.
